Hello Lovely people, Welcome back to our new series called #WhyIstartedblogging which will feature three different bloggers each time. We love getting to know why people started blogging and what it means to them so we hope you enjoy the read.

This week we have Lauren,Victoria & Kirsty.

We hope you enjoy reading this because we sure did, We love to read about other bloggers, finding out what blogging means to them.

Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging because I have always loved writing; I decided this was the best way to publicize my creative ideas and communicate with like-minded people across the World. The name started off as ‘Pretty Things and Polka Dots’ and was primarily surrounding beauty and personal thoughts. However, as time went on, I changed it to ‘Sincerely, Lauren Emily’ and it is primarily a lifestyle blog, giving my readership advice and opinions on a range of topics.

What does Blogging mean to you?

Blogging means a lot to me; it allows me to express my creativity to a fairly large audience and has always been a welcomed break from schoolwork! It sparked an interest in photography, which has led me to improve hugely and purchase a Canon 1200D; an investment I will never regret. My blog is something I’m immensely proud of and I can’t see myself stopping anytime soon!

Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging back in 2013 when I moved abroad to Germany as part of my university course. I had been following a number of bloggers and vloggers for a few years and thought it was a good time to start up my own blog and record my experiences living abroad. My first blog was more of a personal journal, which I continued posting on once I was home and back at university. Once I graduated, a few years ago, I decided to launch my current travel-and-lifestyle blog, with more regular content and I’ve been loving it ever since!

What does blogging mean to you?

I love the fact that blogging not only allows me to be creative but also helps me record my trips to amazing places, which I can look back on in years to come. Whether I’m travelling or not, I always have my camera with me and take plenty of pictures wherever I go, so it’s nice to have a place to showcase those too. I also love the fact that blogging opens up millions of new opportunities; I’ve travelled to places I otherwise wouldn’t have and have made lots of new friends along the way.

Why did you start blogging?

I actually started blogging/vlogging about five years ago (when I was sixteen), but because I didn't have like three million followers after a few months I decided that I was a complete failure, quit doing it and deleted everything! Oh boy, do I regret that now! I realised when I started vlogging my journey on roaccutane last year that I really would have liked to re-read/watch all of the blog posts I wrote and videos I made back then, to remember what my life used to be like, I guess. It really bummed me out that I couldn't, and realised that I'll probably feel the same way in five years time. So, I picked it back up again. I can't wait to look back and see how far I've come in five years' time!

What does blogging mean to you?

Blogging is basically an outlet for me. Only two people who know me in real life read my blog, so it feels very private and separate from the rest of me. I don't feel pressured to write things that my friends/colleagues will approve of, nor miss things out for fear of getting made fun of. I can just write about whatever is on my mind at the time, which I find really therapeutic. Sometimes, it's just nice to have a hobby that I love to channel my energy and free time into! I've also met so many great people doing this and stumbled across tonnes of smaller bloggers, whose writing I never would have read had I not started doing it myself! It's one of my favourite things, and I'd encourage anybody who's thinking of starting it up to just do it.
