When do you start thinking about Christmas?

I start to have odd thoughts about it around September and October and I always do a twitter countdown from 100 days, but that’s Halloween month. As soon as it hits November 1st BOOM it’s officially the Christmas build up.

What has been your most memorable Christmas present to date (good or bad!)?

When I was eight I got this little robot toy that could walk forward and make beeping noises and I fell in love with it. I took it everywhere with me for about two months, even to places like restaurants where I’d make him walk around under the table. I’m not sure I have it now, in fact I think it broke, but I’ll always remember how happy that robot made me on Christmas.

Do you have any Christmas traditions?
In the morning me and my brother always go upstairs to our parents with our stockings and open the presents in them, there’s usually only a few and some chocolates. Then when the family arrive we all open the ones under the tree.

Which Christmas film is the greatest of them all?

So many to choose from, but the greatest has to be Elf. When you fall off your chair with laughter then you know it’s something special.

You have an empty seat at your table on Christmas Day – who do you invite and why?
Can be absolutely anyone!

I think I’d actually invite Buddy from Elf because he’d be just as overly excited as me.

Where in your house does your Christmas Tree go each year?

Always in our living room corner so you can see it through the window when you walk past the house.

Name the top 3 songs on your Christmas Party Playlist

Band Aid – Do They Know IT’s Christmas?
Wham! – Last Christmas
The Jackson 5 – Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

Who is the hardest person you’ve ever had to buy a Christmas present for?

My Dad because I’d already got him socks last year and a tie for his birthday. I ended up getting him little whiskey bottles, but my mum had to buy them because I was too young.

When do you eat your Christmas dinner, and what all is on your menu?

We always have a late lunch at around 3 because my parents need to finish preparing it. What we eat depends on how many come over. If there’s one or two other people coming we get a one big turkey because my brother and I both like the legs. If there are more people coming we get two chickens because then there are four legs and more to go around.

What’s your favourite Christmas related quote?

“Christmas is not about candy canes, holly or lights all aglow. It’s about the hearts that we touch and the care that we show.” It’s from Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas which I used to watch every year since I was 3. I watched it again recently and it’s full of so many beautiful quotes about Christmas that managed to stay with me all these years.
11. Are you a wrapping paper person, or boxes and bags? Or are you a mix?
I’m such a wrapping person, I wrap with ribbons and bows and tags, although it does take over a day to complete.

What makes Christmas so special to you?

I’d have to say everything. Every detail and feature. Every light displays and festive food. Every movie and song. Every present giving and receiving, because they all give me the same feeling of love and magic that Christmas always brings. One that note, I wish you all a very Happy Christmas. Live in absolutely every moment until the end, and then we can begin the countdown for next year.
