BloggersTribe Christmas Tag: Jessica & James

Hello and welcome back to our Blogmas Christmas Tag, a fun way to get to know some of the members of the Bloggers Tribe community! Today we're back with Jessica and James, or some of you may know them as Food and Baker! When we first asked them to get involved, they jumped at the chance. Shall we look at their post?

Rules

·         Put on our Christmas Playlist on Spotify (link here) to listen to while answering!
·         Answer our 12 questions
·         Add 2 questions of your own
·         Have a Christmas drink and/or snack
·         Tag 4 more bloggers to take part
·         Take a picture in your favourite Christmas jumper and send it to us for our Round Up post! We want to see everyone who takes part! (Photo doesn’t have to include your face if you don’t want it to – just take a pic of your jumper 😊 )

 Standard Questions:

1.      When do you start thinking about Christmas?

As soon as the shops start selling Christmas decorations, that’s for Jessica anyway. James is more of a last minute kind of guy or when he really needs to (aka when Jessica annoys him about it)

2.      What has been your most memorable Christmas present to date (good or bad!)?

We’re going to sound very cheesy and it’s technically not a present but it’s obviously the present of all time, being able to have spent Christmas together last year.

3.       Do you have any Christmas traditions?

We wouldn’t say it’s necessarily a ‘Christmas’ tradition but it’s a tradition we started from the beginning of our relationship that we’ve always done around the Christmas period. We would go to Winter Wonderland, Hyde Park and find an activity, something different each year within the park to do/see and go eat at Vapiano’s after. 3 years and counting, without a fail.

4.       Which Christmas film is the greatest of them all?

This is tough one, I think we would say, Home Alone, I don’t know about you, but any time Christmas comes around, my first thought always leads to Home Alone.
Funnily enough James had only watched it last year, although it shocked me, I’m so pleased to say he enjoyed it!

5.      You have an empty seat at your table on Christmas Day – who do you invite and why? Can be absolutely anyone!

We would like to give the opportunity to have one of our blogger friends to join us, it’s so hard to pick one! Imagine if we could, that would be so amazing! Maybe that’s something we can plan for the future 😉

6.       Where in your house does your Christmas Tree go each year?

For both families, we have our tree set up in the living room/lounge and always in the corner!

7.       Name the top 3 songs on your Christmas Party Playlist

‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ – Mariah Carey
‘Happy Xmas (War Is Over)’ – John Lennon & Yoko Ono
‘8 Days of Christmas’ – Destiny’s Child

8.       Who is the hardest person you’ve ever had to buy a Christmas present for?

Literally, each other. If not each other, we would both agree on saying our parents - what do you give to the people who have given you everything?

9.       When do you eat your Christmas dinner, and what all is on your menu?

Jessica - Typically in my family tradition, we do the whole Christmas Eve celebration, so around 10pm, we all gather in one household, all the food you can possibly think of and eat together then and open our presents at Midnight. We have a mix of traditional Christmas dinner and a whole load of Filipino dishes.
James - On Christmas Day, in the evening with the whole family, including the Grandparent’s. The whole traditional lot; turkey, stuffing, Brussel sprouts, gravy, mint sauce, the lot! Topped with a variety of desserts.

1.  What’s your favourite Christmas related quote?

"
Christmas isn't a season, it's a feeling!"

1.   Are you a wrapping paper person, or boxes and bags? Or are you a mix?

Jessica thoroughly loves wrapping presents, but if it’s an odd shape a gift bag is the best way to go!

1.   What makes Christmas so special to you?

Not to sound like a walking cliché, but of course it’s spending time with family and close ones. But if you’re here for the big truth, it’s obviously the food! All the food, all the Christmas classics and desserts! YUM!

Your Questions:

1.     If you could spend Christmas abroad, where would you go?
2.     Is there a Christmas dish you dislike?

Take a break, you’ve earned it! Grab a gingerbread flavoured hot chocolate and a mince pie!

We would like to tag:

1.     Ashlee Moyo
2.     Francesca
3.     Abbey
4.     Finding Kate

And to finish off, here’s a photo of us in our matching Christmas jumpers!
