10 little things

Lately I've been thinking a lot about my life and how I want to change it, I strive daily to be a better person, to help myself live a better life. So here are 10 little things I'm doing to make positive changes.

Practising Gratitude.

It may sound silly but I often forget to Thank those around me who lift me up and make my life what it is. This isn't just in my personal life but also in the Blogging Community. So I'm going to be more grateful, thank those who keep my spirits high and spread positivity throughout.

Take up a new hobby.

I really want to start doing more with my time in between being a mother, doing daily tasks and my blog. I want to do more with my spare time than just watch a film or something on the telly. I'm going to stop telling myself I'm too tired and actually do something productive. I'm not sure what hobby I'll take up yet but I'm making it a goal to have found something by the end of the year.

Cook more.

Since joining weight watchers I have to admit that I haven't been very good at it. Sure I've lost 4lbs but I haven't been healthy or cooking meals. I love to cook and it's something I really enjoy doing. I'm making a point of cooking 3 things a week at least from scratch like Spaghetti Bolognese or a pasta bake... you know, something that I don't just shove in the oven or microwave.

Morning stretches.

With my health being the way it is and the Drs now being certain I have fibromyalgia it's became increasingly hard to work out like I used to. My confidence and motivation have taken a huge hit with this so I really want to start doing morning stretches to help me be set up for the day. I've read so much about it and how people with fibromyalgia have benefited from this so I'm going to incorporate it into my daily routine.

Write a note each day.

Every day I'm going to write a little note and place it in my goals jar. My goals jar always gets set up on January 1st and I don't touch it until December 30th. This is a way for me to see what I've achieved through the year and if I've actually stuck to my original goals, this helps me know if it's a goal I've really wanted or not. So now I'm going to start adding to the jar which is new for me, I'll write something good about the day be it an achievement, funny story, something that's happened... anything! And I can read back at the end of the year and see what I've been up to.

Meditation.

I've heard many wonderful things about meditation, how it's really helped people with depression and anxiety both of which I suffer from so I would love to see how this would help me. I want to try this and give it a good go, if nothing else it will help me be more in tune with myself and I'll have tried something new.

Help others.

Each day I'm going to do something that helps someone else other than my son (I always do stuff for him so that's a cop out if I use that haha) I'll maybe RT stuff for people who are looking to gain engagement or I'll comment on some blog posts or I'll help someone who needs help with their shopping... the possibilities are endless but I really want to do more because I just love spreading joy and positivity.

Look in the mirror for 10 minutes each day.

It might sound like a strange thing to do but right now I'm not feeling too body positive about myself. I look in the mirror and I shy away, I actually try and avoid mirrors if possible because I'm not comfortable with myself. I actually read about this tip online that's used to help people love themselves so I'm going to give it a try. Hopefully if I keep doing this I'll be at peace with my own image.

Drink more water.

I don't drink anywhere near enough water and I know I should drink it a lot more but I forget... As silly as that sounds I do forget to take a drink most of the time and if I do it a normally Apple juice or something like that, never just water. Water can help with so much like skin and internal health, so I'm going to start a chart of something to help me remember to drink it. I'm not going to have any juice in the house that in would drink so I'm not tempted and I actually stick to drinking water.

Better sleep routine.

Sleep. I don't get enough. Simple. My sleeping pattern is all over the place, I go to sleep no earlier than 12am and I know I should really be going down earlier considering Leon's up at 6/half 6 so I really need to get a better sleeping pattern. It's essential to my health and won't be helping much now that my health really is in the toilet. I'm going to start a routine where I go down around 10, that seems like a good time to aim for at the moment and I can see how that works out. Because I don't get enough sleep my eyes often look tired and no amount of make up can help. A better sleep is definitely on the cards for me.

So there you have It, 10 things I'm going to do to help change my lifestyle. It's hard sometimes to sit down and think about what you really want in life and how little things can make a huge impact. I encourage you all to think of one thing you want to change or incorporate into your life and let me know in the comments what it is (I'm nosy you see) and maybe if we all make a little change we can see big results.

Until next time, Jordanne.
